19-year-old arrested for OVI after crash, allegedly kicks TPD officer while in custody

Kimbreyah Conyers crashed into a fire hydrant and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She then allegedly kicked an officer in the stomach while in custody.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault on a Toledo police officer early Thursday morning.

According to a police report, the crash happened around 4:45 a.m. when Kimbreyah Conyers hit a fire hydrant at Richards Road and Wickford Point Drive in west Toledo.

Conyers was arrested for OVI. While in custody, she allegedly kicked an officer in the stomach.

The officer did not seek medical treatment.

Conyers was taken to the hospital for medical clearance prior to being booked at the Lucas County jail.
