TOLEDO, Ohio — A person has been hospitalized after being shot in south Toledo Friday afternoon, police told WTOL 11.
Toledo police say the victim, an adult woman, was conscious and talking before she was hospitalized, but that her current condition is unknown. In a Toledo police report, law enforcement later said the victim's injuries are non-life threatening.
The victim was apparently shot while inside her vehicle at the Byrneport Apartments off of Byrneport Drive near Airport Highway and then traveled to the Palmer Garden Apartments off of Douglas Road, about four-and-a-half miles north of the initial scene, according to police.
Residents at the Palmer Garden Apartments then called 911 for the victim. Police responded to the scene at about 4 p.m.
Toledo police did not confirm if there are any suspects, but said in a report they believed two people had been shooting at each other at the time the victim was injured.
