TOLEDO, Ohio — A 24-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in north Toledo and later died in the hospital, according to Toledo police.
Police responded to the scene in the 300 block of West Park Street and found Dontae Hull suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Police say Hull is suspected of burglarizing a home on the street before he was shot by a friend of the homeowner inside the residence.
Hull's death is the first homicide of 2023 in Toledo.
