TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting in east Toledo Tuesday night, according to police.
Toledo police responded to a call of a person shot at just before 10 p.m. and found the victim on Price Street near Thurston Street.
A standoff at a home on the street then ensued and a SWAT team was called out because police believed the shooter was still inside. Officers at the scene were heard using a megaphone in an attempt to communicate with anyone in the home.
Police fired tear gas into the home just before midnight and entered but did not find anyone, authorities told WTOL 11.
No arrests have been made.
The scene cleared around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
