TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a shooting that left a victim dead early Sunday in south Toledo.
Officers responded to the call of a person shot in the 2500 block of Airport Highway around 3:46 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report.
The victim, identified by police as Zayn Disher, was found inside a residence. Disher had been shot at least once and died at the hospital. Disher's age was not disclosed.
In an autopsy report, the Lucas County Coroner said Disher was declared dead at 6:15 a.m., two hours after arrival. The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death was classified as a homicide.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. Authorities did not say if there are any suspects. It is unclear what may have caused the incident.
