TOLEDO, Ohio — Editor's note: This story has been updated to include information from a Toledo police report.
A person was shot Monday night in north Toledo, according to police.
Toledo police responded to the intersection of North Ontario and Bush streets in the Vistula Historic District at about 11:30 p.m. In a Toledo police report, authorities said they found one person - described as a 34-year-old woman - suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police and first responders administered life-saving measures. Toledo Fire and Rescue crews transported the victim to the hospital. The victim was in serious but stable condition, police said in the report.
Shortly thereafter, 42-year-old Lashawn Dobbins contacted police and said she had been maced while being attacked by two women, then fired her own weapon.
Dobbins was taken into custody for questioning and was charged with felonious assault.
Police continue to investigate.
