TOLEDO, Ohio — A man was shot and killed Saturday at an apartment complex in south Toledo.
Toledo police confirmed 20-year-old Daryl Foster was shot just before 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Linda & Susan Arms Apartments near the University of Toledo medical campus on South Byrne. Foster later died from his injuries at a local hospital.
Police say the incident happened after an argument broke out between two men who knew each other. The alleged shooter, 21-year-old Kedontae Colter, is a resident of the complex according to court records.
Police took Colter to the downtown safety building for questioning and later charged him with murder. He has been booked into the Lucas County jail.
Colter was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Monday morning and his bond was set at $1 million. He's set to return to court on Aug. 16 for his pretrial hearing.
