TOLEDO, Ohio — A person is hospitalized after a shooting Wednesday afternoon in west Toledo.
The shooting happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of North Haven Avenue, a Toledo police sergeant told WTOL 11 at the scene. In a follow-up report, Toledo police listed the incident as having occurred at 11:20 a.m.
The victim, who police described as male, was shot at least once. The victim was found alive in the front yard of the location, suffering from a gunshot wound, police said in a report. The victim was in stable condition when taken to the hospital, police said.
Police said the victim, a 25-year-old, lived at the residence where the shooting happened.
Police said the suspect is someone the victim knows. Further information on the suspect's identity has not yet been provided. In a police report, authorities said "there was little suspect information" at the time of the report.
The shooting is under investigation.
