TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department reported a stabbing that occurred at a local rehoming shelter in downtown Toledo on Saturday morning.
According to Toledo police, the stabbing occurred at the St. Paul's Community Center around 5:45 a.m. The shelter is located on 13th Street and Madison Avenue.
In a report, police said a 55-year-old was sleeping outside the building when he was awoken by a man stabbing him. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to the face and hand, police said.
It is unknown if any arrests were made following the incident.
