TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a shooting Wednesday afternoon in central Toledo.
The shooting happened in the 1300 block of Elmwood Avenue near Smead and Sylvan avenues. Toledo police responded just before 4:30 p.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter Alert.
In a police report issued Thursday, police said two people, a 48-year-old and a 24-year-old, had been taken to a hospital by private vehicle. Their injuries and conditions are unknown.
Police said they located evidence of a shooting at the scene.
There are no suspects at this time, police said.
