TOLEDO, Ohio — A person is dead after a shooting in a west Toledo neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
Police and medical emergency vehicles responded to a home on Brodywood Drive off Nebraska Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound, Toledo police said.
First responders at the scene said the victim was shot inside the home before running into the backyard and collapsing.
The victim, later identified as 18-year-old Irin Anderson, was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Police detectives on the scene said at least one person was detained as a “person of interest” but stopped short of calling them a suspect.
Police are continuing to investigate.
