TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash during a police pursuit in south Toledo on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a police report, dispatchers received a report of a man, identified as Anthony Boseman, 47, attempting to run over a woman with a vehicle at Summit Street and Clayton Street around noon. Police learned that the man was driving a silver Cadillac and allegedly chasing a woman who was on foot.
TPD said that Boseman was able to get the woman inside the car and began driving westbound on Washington Street from Summit. Police said they spotted the car driving recklessly at a high rate of speed and not stopping at red lights.
According to TPD, they were pursuing the vehicle on the Anthony Wayne Trail when the driver lost control of the car at the intersection of Glendale Avenue, flipped and landed in the yard of a home at Wildwood Road and Glendale.
Toledo police said that Boseman and the passenger were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Charges are pending for Boseman, according to a police report from TPD.
