TOLEDO, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a robbery that occurred at an east Toledo 7-Eleven early Wednesday, according to a Toledo police report.
Officers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven in the 1300 block of Navarre Avenue, where the robbery had allegedly occurred. In the report, police said they spoke with a security guard and cashier, who told them a masked male wearing a black coat, blue pants and a gray skull cap came into the store shortly before 1:30 a.m.
According to the employees, the suspect stole candy from the shelves. When the security guard attempted to stop the suspect from leaving the store, the suspect pushed the guard down to the floor, causing a minor injury.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot, the cashier said.
