ROSSFORD, Ohio — Rossford police arrested an 18-year-old on Tuesday on multiple felony charges after an alleged gun incident that put the high school into lockdown in the late morning.
According to a police report, Rossford police were notified of a juvenile pointing a gun at another person on Walnut Street near Dixie Highway just after 11:30 a.m. The nearby Rossford Junior-Senior High School was immediately placed into lockdown due to its proximity, the report says.
Rossford police responded to the scene and saw a male running into a residence on Beech Street near Walnut Street. Police say the male then left the home shortly after while carrying an empty backpack.
Police searched the home and found a loaded sawed-off shotgun and a loaded handgun, neither of which belonged to the occupants of the home, according to the report.
Ezekiel James, 18, of Rossford was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, tampering with evidence, possession of a dangerous ordinance and aggravated menacing. Rossford police say a 16-year-old was also arrested and charged with aggravated menacing.
