SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — A Seneca County man was sentenced to prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to sex crimes involving minors and developmentally delayed women.
Joseph Moore, 27, pleaded guilty in May to 12 charges: four fourth-degree felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving an impaired person, four second-degree felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving an impaired person, one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of rape, according to Tiffin police.
On Tuesday, Moore was sentenced in Seneca County Common Pleas Court to an "indefinite term" of 40-45 years in prison.
Tiffin police say the department in December of last year received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about child pornography being disseminated in the city. Moore was later identified as the suspect.
Police gained access to Moore's Google account through a search warrant and found images and videos of child pornography and videos "showing Moore sexually abusing multiple developmentally delayed women," according to the department.
Moore was arrested on Jan. 18.
Tiffin police say the videos showed that the abuse happened at Moore's place of employment in Bellevue.
