SHELBY COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — Three people are charged with felonies after multiple pounds of methamphetamine was seized by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers during a traffic stop in Shelby County.
OSHP said on Sept. 14, troopers stopped a Hyundai Sonata with Tennessee registration for a moving violation on Interstate 75. Criminal indicators were observed and a drug-sniffing K-9 alerted to the vehicle.
The three occupants, all from different states, were found with six pounds of methamphetamine, worth approximately $24,000.
They were identified as 24-year-old Levi Eastgate, of Saltville, Virginia, 25-year-old Holly Ramey, of Kingsport, Tennessee and 29-year-old Damion Fryer, of Detroit.
All three were taken to the Shelby County jail and charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule I or II drugs and possession of schedule I or II drugs, both first-degree felonies.
If convicted, they could each face up to 33 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
