Shooting in north Toledo sends one to the hospital

Toledo police say a woman was shot in a home in a north Toledo neighborhood on Saturday night. A suspect was taken into custody.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman was taken to the hospital on Saturday night after being shot in the foot in north Toledo.

Toledo police say the shooting happened in a home on the 900 block of Frederick St. just before 11 p.m.

According to police, Juanita Dillard was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect, identified as Joanthan McCoy in court documents, was taken into custody by police and booked into the Lucas County Jail. 

Police said no one else was involved.
