TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo woman will serve the next 8-11 years in prison after being sentenced on Wednesday on unrelated charges of endangering children and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

According to Toledo Municipal Court records, Shyanne Papenfuse's 21-month-old child had more than two dozen bruises over his body, liver trauma, a hematoma on the brain and several bones in various stages of healing.

The records indicate that the injuries happened while the child was in her care between April 2022 and July 2022.

In the unrelated charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, Papenfuse was said to have engaged in sexual conduct with someone between the ages of 13 to 16.

Papenfuse, 25, entered an Alford plea in September on the charges before being sentenced on Wednesday.
