BELLEVUE, Ohio — A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault for a stabbing in a northern Ohio stabbing Monday.
Bellevue Police responded to a residence on East Center Street in Bellevue just after noon after receiving a call of a possible stabbing. The victim, whose name has not been released, was found in the bedroom of an upstairs apartment "suffering from an apparent knife wound to the neck."
The victim was treated on the scene by emergency crews and then transported to a hospital.
According to police, the suspect, Jamie Lee Trimmer, had fled the scene and was identified by witnesses. He was later taken into custody in Ontario, Ohio, about an hour south of Bellevue.
