Police seeking to ID person who vandalized gorilla sculpture in Tecumseh

Police said the large gorilla sculpture was defaced around 2:48 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.

TECUMSEH, Mich. — The Tecumseh Police Department is seeking to identify the person who vandalized a large gorilla sculpture on Saturday.

Police said around 2:48 p.m. on April 20, the unknown subject defaced the sculpture in the 100 block of S. Evans Street.

Tecumseh police shared this video of the vandalism:

TPD said that if you can identify the subject involved, contact Sgt. Walsh at 517-423-7494 ext. 221, or email gwalsh@tecumsehmi.gov.

"The City of Tecumseh will not tolerate vandalism, and subjects involved in this type of activity will be prosecuted," Tecumseh police said in a release.
