2 juveniles crash stolen car after leading police on chase

The driver fled the scene and ended up crashing into a parked car, according to police.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two 12-year-olds crashed a stolen vehicle after leading police on a chase in east Toledo.

Toledo police told WTOL 11 around 1:30 a.m. they tried to pull the driver over for not having their headlights on. The driver fled the scene and ended up crashing into a parked car on Platt Street near 6th Street.

The two juveniles got out of the car and ran but officers caught them a few blocks away.

Both juveniles were taken tot he hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported.

Police at the scene told WTOL 11 the car belongs to the mother of one of the kids.
