TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are looking for a suspect in the vandalism of several vehicles at a south Toledo fire station and theft of Toledo Fire uniforms overnight Monday.
At least five personal vehicles and one city vehicle were damaged by an unknown suspect at Toledo Fire & Rescue Department Station 9, according to a Toledo Police Department report.
The suspect entered the secured parking lot at 900 South Ave. either Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
In addition to the vandalism, Toledo police are actively investigating thefts from Toledo Fire & Rescue personal vehicles which also happened late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Some of the stolen items were TFRD uniforms, the Ohio Statewide Terrorism Analysis & Crime Center said in a "be on the lookout" bulletin issued Wednesday regarding the incident. The stolen uniforms include two fatigue shirts and two pairs of fatigue pants.
