ERIE COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A Toledo man was arrested for alleged burglary and theft of a residence in Erie County that he was working at.
According to Perkins Township Police Department, Aaron Short, 29, was an employee with a company that was contracted to do flooring at a residence.
"Short used his opportunity inside the residence to access other areas and steal while the homeowner was not present," PTPD said in a Facebook post.
Perkins Township police said Short is currently in the Erie County Jail on multiple charges. It is not known when the crimes allegedly occurred or the company for which Short worked.
PTPD said they have seen an uptick in these types of reports being filed and advised homeowners to take precautions when allowing contractors into their homes.
