TOLEDO, Ohio — A man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly illegally selling fireworks from the garage of his west Toledo home without a valid license.
According to Toledo Fire & Rescue, Edward DeLuna, 35, was taken into custody and charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes for illegally selling the fireworks.
TFRD said they conducted a search warrant in the 1900 block of Ketner Avenue after police received an anonymous tip and found a large amount of fireworks on the premises. Court documents allege that DeLuna was selling the items from his garage without a license from the state to do so.
According to Toledo fire, further examination of the items revealed that many of the fireworks were commercial grade. TFRD said the fireworks were seized and transported to a secure facility.
