TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man was charged for alleged crimes against his girlfriend and a stranger at a Motel 6.
On Oct. 31 just after 11 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment on Heatherdowns Boulevard. Officers at the scene located a victim, the suspect's girlfriend, and she told them that her boyfriend, Mitchel Brown, 43, assaulted her.
According to a Toledo police report, the girlfriend stated that "Brown struck her in the leg after after the two had an argument over [her] asking Brown to leave the hotel room which she paid for."
Officers at the scene could see bruising to her right leg.
Police located Brown in the parking lot of a Motel 6 located on Heatherdowns near Reynolds Road and detained him.
A front desk employee at Motel 6 told officers Brown also inappropriately touched another guest at the hotel.
Officers spoke with the guest who told them she was attempting to enter her room when Brown "reached up her skirt and touched her buttocks in a sexual manner," according to the police report.
Brown was taken to the Lucas County Jail and charged with Domestic Violence, Sexual Imposition and Assault.
Brown entered a not guilty plea on Nov. 4. His bond was set at $25,000. Trial in municipal court is scheduled to begin on Nov. 18.
