TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo man is in custody after police said he kidnapped and assaulted his live-in girlfriend.
According to multiple Toledo police documents, 41-year-old Todd Tillman forced his girlfriend into a vehicle and drove her from Sylvania to the 5000 block of Monroe Street on Nov. 20. While in the vehicle, Tillman allegedly stabbed the victim in the leg with a piece of broken tile, police said, causing her to need stitches.
A complaint was filed against Tillman on Nov. 20, according to Toledo Municipal Court records. Records indicate Tillman appeared in court on Tuesday.
Tillman is facing the following charges:
- Kidnapping, a first-degree felony
- Felonious assault, a second-degree felony
- Domestic violence, a third-degree felony
Tillman is being held at the Lucas County Jail on a $50,000 bond for each charge, totaling to $150,000, no percent.
