TPD: Man shot in north Toledo early Thursday, says he was climbing through ex-girlfriend's window

Police responded to a local hospital shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday on a call of a person shot.

Toledo police responded to a hospital early Thursday on a call of a person shot. 

Crews arrived at the facility at approximately 4:33 a.m. According to a report, the victim, a 35-year-old man, informed police he had sustained one gunshot wound to his left arm, then drove himself to the hospital. 

He stated he was shot when he had climbed through the window of his ex-girlfriend's residence on Elm Street in north Toledo. 

Per the report, Toledo police continue to investigate.
