TOLEDO (WTOL) - A Toledo man convicted of murder was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole on Thursday.
Christopher Krauzer was found guilty of shooting and killing 75-year-old Gordon Capshaw on Emerald Avenue last September.
Capshaw died in the hospital following the shooting.
The two men had been arguing over a property line and a privacy fence in South Toledo when Krauzer shot Capshaw with a rifle. SWAT teams were called to the scene because police say Krauzer was threatening suicide by cop.
Krauzer initially entered a not guilty plea by reason of insanity, but that plea was denied. He then plead guilty to aggravated murder last month.
Tears were shed in the Lucas County Courthouse by the families of both Capshaw and Krauzer as the sentence was handed down.
Krauzer will be eligible for parole after 21 years.
