GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — The third suspect in a 2021 Toledo homicide was arrested Tuesday near Cleveland.
Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Titus Crittendon, 26, near the 9700 block of Plymouth Avenue in Garfield Heights. Crittendon was wanted for the December 2021 shooting death of 24-year-old Everett White.
“This arrest is another example of our strong law enforcement partnerships across the northern district of Ohio," Ohio U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said. "Outstanding police work from Toledo all the way to Cleveland, resulted in another dangerous fugitive being taken off the street.”
On Dec. 18, 2021, Toledo police responded to the 1200 block of Broadway Street in the parking lot of the Heritage South Shopping Plaza. Officers discovered White had been shot inside his vehicle. He later died at the hospital.
Police obtained video evidence showing Crittendon walking away from the victim's car.
Two other suspects in the homicide - Devin Ferguson and Taiwan Griffin - were previously arrested.
