TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police have arrested the woman accused of attacking another person at Leverette Elementary School earlier this month.
Cassandra Valdez, 34, is accused of attacking another person in the front lobby of the north Toledo school on May 7, striking them "multiple times in the head and face" and causing them to fall down and break their leg, according to a police report.
Valdez allegedly continued to hit the victim in the head while they were on the floor until bystanders intervened.
The victim "began to have seizures as a result of the assault," according to the police report.
Valdez appeared in Toledo Municipal Court Wednesday where a judge set her bond at $50,000 at no percent which she posted. Valdez is also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Her next hearing is scheduled for May 24 at 9 a.m.
