TOLEDO, Ohio — One person died in a shooting in west Toledo on Feb. 29.
Just before 11:15 p.m., Toledo police responded to reports of a shooting on West Laskey Road east of the intersection of Bennett Road.
Officers found the victim, Joshua Anders, 33, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The Lucas County Coroner's Office released an autopsy report Friday which found the cause of Anders' death to be multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
The suspect, Eric Salmon, 43, was taken into custody at the scene, according to a police report.
A TPD lieutenant at the scene told WTOL 11 that an unspecified altercation between Anders and Salmon led to Anders being shot.
Salmon made an appearance in Toledo Municipal Court Friday morning and a judge set his bond at $1 million. On March 11, he was indicted on two counts of murder and on count of felonious assault.
