TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police announced the recovery of dozens of dogs from multiple north Toledo residences for suspected dog fighting.
TPD, along with Lucas County Canine Care and Control, the Toledo Humane Society and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General, recovered 36 dogs from three residences after conducting search warrants Thursday.
The humane society and LC4 took possession of the dogs.
14 dogs were located at the first residence, 15 at the second residence and seven at the third residence, according to Toledo police.
TPD said the investigation is still ongoing and charges against the individuals involved are pending.
Anyone with information about the suspected dog fighting is asked to call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
