Toledo woman arrested for setting home on fire with 2 people inside

Jeraka Joyner faces two aggravated arson charges for allegedly spraying lighter fluid inside the Toledo home Friday morning.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police arrested a woman who is accused of setting a home on fire with two people inside of it.

Jeraka Joyner, 32, is accused of opening the window of a home in Toledo around 6:13 a.m. on Oct. 15, spraying lighter fluid inside and lighting it on fire, according to a report. The location of the home is not provided.

Police arrested Joyner on both a first-degree and second-degree felony charge of aggravated arson and a first-degree charge of attempting or threatening to inflict harm on another person as an aggravated burglary offender.

The report does not say the two people inside of the home were injured.

Joyner appeared in court on Oct. 15, where a judge set her bond at $50,000. 

She was indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury on Oct. 22 on the charges.
