TOLEDO, Ohio — A 48-year-old Toledo woman was taken into custody after police say she posed as a police officer and pulled someone over in Toledo.
According to court documents, a victim called 911 to report that someone in a black sedan was attempting to pull them over using spotlights and a police siren.
Police say the victim eventually stopped and was approached by Vita Bennett of Toledo, who had exited a black Crown Victoria Police Interceptor demanding that the victim exit her vehicle.
Unsure if the person who pulled her over was a police officer, the person waited for marked units to arrive.
Police then discovered the black sedan had spotlights and a siren that sounded like a police cruiser.
According to police, Bennett said she wanted to talk to the victim about a traffic infraction.
