TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police said two people were shot Tuesday night within about one mile of each other in west Toledo. The incidents are currently unconfirmed to be related, police said.
One person is confirmed to have been detained by police for questioning.
On Wednesday, the victims were identified by authorities as 14-year-olds. WTOL 11 does not name underage victims.
Both teens sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
One shooting happened on Upton Avenue near Berdan Avenue. Police sectioned off a 7-11 on the street with crime tape.
The other shooting happened about one mile east at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Willys Parkway.
