TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Police are investigating after two convenience stores were robbed in separate incidents in west Toledo.

The first incident happened on Friday around 8:45 p.m. A clerk at the Circle K at 5342 Lewis Ave. told police that the two suspects with face masks came behind the counter and took all the money from the register.

The suspects then left the store, but were later seen entering a red pick-up truck, believed to be an older style Chevrolet S-10 or Ford Ranger, according to police.

When police arrived at the location, a clerk said that two masked men entered the store. One of them showed a handgun and announced a robbery, forcing the clerk to get on the floor.

Police said the two suspects then went behind the counter "with a craving for nicotine" and filled a garbage bag with vapes, cigarettes and cigars before leaving the store.

The suspect who produced the silver pistol is described as a Black or light-skinned male wearing a red zip-up hooded sweatshirt with red gloves.

The other suspect was described as a white or light-skinned male wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with a Whitmer Panther logo. He was also wearing blue surgical gloves and brown work boots, according to police.
