TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people went to the hospital with one gunshot wound each after being shot in separate locations in Toledo just before midnight, police told WTOL 11.
Police did not say if a possible connection between the two shootings was being investigated.
Police were en route to the intersection of North Huron and Elm streets after receiving a call for a person shot at approximately 11:15 p.m. After arriving, police learned one victim was taken to the hospital via private vehicle prior to police arrival.
The victim's injury was non-life threatening, police said in a report.
One person was shot at a gas station at the intersection of Monroe Street and North Detroit Avenue in central Toledo at approximately 11:30 p.m., police said in a report.
According to a Toledo police report, police received several ShotSpotter alerts and 911 calls from a gas station in the 2900 block of Monroe Street. Witnesses told police several males were seen shooting at another male in a vehicle.
A short time later, a male victim arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Toledo police described the central Toledo victim's injuries as serious.
Police said no arrests have been made in either shooting.
Bullet casings were found at the scenes of both shootings. Two gas pumps were also struck at the scene of the central Toledo shooting.
