TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were taken to the hospital after a shooting in north Toledo on Sunday evening, according to Toledo police.
Police responded to a shooting at the Greenbelt Place Apartments on Walnut Street around 9:20 p.m. According to a Toledo police report and court records, Katherina Haskins, 29, is accused of shooting whom authorities described as the father of her child, in the leg. Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital; he is expected to survive, police said.
A second victim, whom police described as another 29-year-old woman, arrived at the hospital by private vehicle, suffering from a gun shot wound. The current condition of the second victim, whom police said needed surgery, is unknown. The circumstances leading to the second victim's injury are unknown.
Police at the scene said witnesses were uncooperative with their investigation.
Haskins was arrested and charged with one count of felonious assault. She appeared in court for an initial appearance Monday morning, where a judge set her bond at $50,000.
