US Marshals searching for Wood County man believed to be with missing Northeast Ohio teenager in Arizona

CLEVELAND — A man is in custody after allegedly fleeing to Mexico with a Canton teen.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 33-year-old Jonathan Jones was arrested in the Ahumada Municipality in the state of Chihuahua within the last 24 hours. He had been wanted out of Wood County in Ohio on charges of pandering obscene material and child endangerment.

The 17-year-old girl was reported missing to Canton police back on April 11. Officials believed she and Jones are together, as they were last seen near the Mexican border in Arizona

According to authorities, the teen was safely recovered in the same location as Jones. No further information is available at this time.
