SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — A deputy for the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office last month cited a United States Postal Service driver for speeding after she had been pulled over following an apparent race with a Mustang.
The deputy saw the 28-year-old USPS driver on April 21 in Washington Township exceeding 100 mph eastbound on U.S. 20, according to an incident report. U.S. 20 has a speed limit of 60 mph.
After being pulled over, the driver "simply stated that she wasn't paying attention," according to the report.
USPS confirmed to WTOL 11 that the driver was one of its employees and that the incident is under investigation.
The driver was pulled over about five miles northwest of Fremont.
