TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police released the bodycam video, as well as two 911 calls, from an incident at Franklin Park Mall earlier this month that lead to at least one arrest.
Police, SWAT Respond to Franklin Park Mall
Toledo police said the incident stemmed from a fight that began inside the mall before making its way outside where shots were fired in the parking lot on Nov. 8.
Mallgoers and employees took shelter in stores while the incident unfolded and the facility was placed on lockdown. No one was injured, police said.
A SWAT team was seen entering the Dick's Sporting Goods just before 3:30 p.m. Police said they conducted a protective sweep at the mall to ensure there were no victims or suspects still on the scene.
The lockdown was later lifted.
Bodycam Video, 911 Calls
In 911 audio, two callers claimed there was a fight at the Dicks Sporting Goods Store at Franklin Park Mall in west Toledo. Those involved left the building, and the callers reported hearing gunshots.
The bodycam video shows Toledo police officers respond to a gas station where they instruct at least two suspects to get out of a car and to not move. At least one person was formally arrested in the incident, Toledo police said, though their identity was not released by authorities.
