Wauseon police looking for two suspects accused of assaulting person

WAUSEON, Ohio — The Wauseon Police Department is searching for two suspects they say assaulted a man over the weekend.

On Sunday, Aug. 4, officers responded to an assault call around 8:20 p.m. on East Oak Street near North Shoop Avenue. According to a press release, when officers arrived they found a victim that had injuries from an assault.

Police identified the victim as a 47-year-old male. 

He was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

Officers at the scene said the suspect assaulted the man and left in a black Ford F-150 truck with Texas license plate TMG2468. The truck was last seen driving north on Shoop Avenue.

The first suspect, the driver, is described as a Hispanic male wearing a black T-shirt.

The second suspect, a passenger, is described as a Hispanic male wearing a red T-shirt.
