TOLEDO, Ohio — A person is dead after an overnight shooting in west Toledo.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of W. Sylvania Avenue, according to the Toledo Police Department.
The victim, who police identified as 27-year-old Loyal Wyse-Campbell, was found shot at least once. Wyse-Campbell died at the scene.
It is unclear at this time if there are any suspects or what may have led to the shooting. Wyse-Campbell’s homicide is under investigation by Toledo police detectives.
