WEST TOLEDO -- Steve Kahle, a coroner investigator with the Lucas County Coroner's Office, reports that Michael Tiller was found in a battery washer at DaimlerChrysler's Toledo North Assembly Plant. Tiller's death appears to have been accidental, Kahle says.

Kahle has told News 11 that Tiller, of Lambertville, Mich., was found early Monday morning. Toledo Police were then called to the scene.

OSHA has two investigators on site, and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. Also, grief counselors are on hand for workers.

News 11 learned earlier Monday that security at Jeep called for an ambulance around 6:30am to tend to Tiller, who was injured at the plant. That ambulance took Miller to the emergency room at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Toledo Police say shortly after 7:00am, they received a call from St. V's, saying the incident was suspicious. Police dispatched several officers to the plant to investigate. Right now, the investigation continues.

According to a DaimlerChrysler web site, the Toledo North Assembly Plant in Toledo has 2,969 workers who assemble the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro. Ground was broken for the plant in 1997, and production of the Liberty started in April of 2001. Production of the Nitro started in 2006.
