DETROIT, MI (WTOL) - Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) is making some changes to ground transportation at the McNamara Terminal.

Effective July 13, 2018, SMART and AirRide customers traveling to and from the McNamara Terminal will be dropped off and picked up on the Departures Level (Ticketing Level) of the terminal.

SMART and AirRide buses will stop on the north end near Door 1.

This change should be convenient for customers using municipal transportation and reduce traffic in the Ground Transportation Center.

Also on July 13, construction will begin on a portion of the McNamara Terminal Ground Transportation Center (GTC) to repair expansion joints in the GTC.

All shuttles and charter buses will be temporarily relocated to the Domestic Arrivals Roadway on Level 1.

Travelers planning to use a shuttle or charter bus to depart Detroit Metropolitan Airport from the McNamara Terminal should follow the green signage and floor arrows to Level 1 and exit to the roadway.

Construction is expected to be completed on July 22.
