Kroger shares tips to save money on groceries while preparing to go back to class

Students are returning to class and Kroger wants to help you stretch your dollar.

According to the organization No Kid Hungry, 13 million children in the United States are experiencing food insecurity.

With student returning to class, Kroger wants to help stretch your dollar.

Mark Bruce, Kroger's Corporate Affairs manager, explained it's essential for customers to save money.

"We don't want prices to impede kids from being ready to go back to school," Bruce said. "So that's why we are doing everything we can as a company to offer great prices and great value for everyone."

No Kids Hungry said that one in six children in the United States could face hunger. This means that children can go to school the first day hungry, which can make focusing and learning on work difficult.

"Kroger works every day to ensure that our customers get the best value for their money, and we do that throughout the year, especially during busy times like back-to-school season," Bruce said. "That's why we have hundreds of items that are $3 or less and dozens of items that are a dollar or less."

Bruce says that Kroger offers $600 worth of savings each week and discounts can be stacked.
