TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Police are trying to piece together the details of an apparent murder-suicide after finding two men dead on the 2600 block of west Alexis Road.

The crime scene tape wrapping the home is an eerie reminder of a fatal Friday night.

Neighbor Mike Simmons talks about what he witnessed.

"Boom! He shot through the window. I hear a girl screaming."

Police have identified that woman as Jennifer Mutchler.

Simmons says her screams prompted him to call 911 from his back yard.

"When I'm on the phone with the operator, they run out of the house. That's when the guy shot him. I said, "Well, the guy's dead. I've got a dead guy in my back yard. Get the police here."

Police arrived quickly. They found the body of David Martin, lying near the backyard creek.

Shots were still being fired inside the home as officers were going in. They would soon find the body of Jason Mutchler.

Simmons believes Mutchler shot Martin, then likely turned the gun on himself. Since he says Jennifer Mutchler was naked when she escaped out of a window, he believes one thing drove one man to a violent rage.

"Jealousy, bad thing."
