TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Toledo Catholic Priest serving a life sentence for murdering a nun has been transferred to a hospice facility. That's according to Rick Kerger, Attorney for Father Gerald Robinson.

The Catholic Priest has a long history of heart problems and his lawyer says doctors have told him the condition is terminal.

Robinsion, now in his early 80's, was convicted in 2007 of the cold case murder of Sister Margaret Ann Pahl.

The murder of Sister Pahl happened in 1981 while she and Father Robinson were assigned to Mercy Hospital in downtown Toledo.

Toledo Catholic Diocese spokesperson Sally Oberski says the diocese has been made aware of Father Robinson's medical condition by his family. The diocese considers Robinson to be a retired priest.
