Findlay Municipal Court offering full day to help people with suspended license

Findlay Municipal Court is once again dedicating a full day to help people with an outstanding issue. This time, it's suspended licenses.

FINDLAY, OH (WTOL) - Findlay Municipal Court is once again dedicating a full day to help people with an outstanding issue.

This time, it's suspended licenses.

Last month, Findlay Municipal Court held a safe surrender day, where just over 100 bench warrants were recalled, helping 76 individuals get right with the court system and clear their outstanding warrants.

This week, the court will be holding a suspended license day.

Many who appear before court judges are facing a minor offense, which is compounded by the fact that they were driving with a suspended license.

So on Friday, representatives from the BMV, insurance companies, child support services and public defenders will offer services to help people begin working toward getting their license back.

"We're not guaranteeing that everybody's going to be able to leave here on Friday with a license or driving privileges, but at least they'll have an understanding of what they need to do to become compliant. We can help folks navigate through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles which sometimes can be very daunting," said Judge Mark Miller.

Findlay Municipal Court's suspended license day will be taking place this Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
