TOLEDO, Ohio — Mercy Health is offering a unique monthly series to educate the public about health prosperity.
The "Ask the Expert" series allows the public to ask an expert about health-related questions. It is designed to educate people in the hopes that they will make better health-related decisions.
"At Mercy, we're excited to host 'Ask the Expert' events every month because we know there are health topics that are important to people in our community and sometimes they don't know where to go for answers," Cindy Pisano, supervisor of the Healthy Connections department at Mercy Health said. "So by having a different topic each month, we're able to get people the information that they need and if necessary they can follow up with their doctors."
The event is online-only on the third Thursday of the month from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. It's accessible to those who use a Zoom ID number or Phone number provided below:
Zoom ID: 975 5220 8436

On Thursday, Mercy Health's "Ask the Expert" held its monthly series on the topic of kidney health.
"We really want to get the word out to everyone about the importance of kidney health. We know that people over the age of 65 are more at risk for kidney disease," Pisano said. "It's important to start early, take care of your body, eat healthy, get plenty of sleep and limit tobacco use. We know all of those impact the body."
Mercy Health plans to offer these series indefinitely as long as people want them.
The next "Ask an Expert" event will be held on April 18 and the topic will be about minority health.
